200 Club

Sunday 31 May, 2009 saw our first "200 Club" member form his own club.

Mal Lehner chalked up 200 games as an SJFC Coach.

After playing his junior career here in the "Yellow & Black" Mal came back home in support of his nephew in the mid 1990's then took on the job of COACH in 1996.

There's a pretty impressive list of achievements below, that show that Mal is dedicated to the development of our youth!!

It just so happens that 2009 (his 14th year as coach) is the first year Mal has coached his own child, so you are bound to see him about the place for a number of years to come.

A point to note is that no player can reach the 200 game milestone in junior football, so Mal has well and truly outlasted a full 'generation' of players.  This was highlighted by the appearance of a number of the Seaford 'senior' players attending Mal's "Banner Run" for his 200th game.

From all at Tigerland we congratulate Mal on forming the '200 club', thank him greatly for his dedication, and his approach, and look forward to his cheerful disposition continuing around the club for many years to come.
